It was Joaquín Martínez Bujanda who started the company with 10 hectares of vines in Rioja Alavesa and over the years the estate has expanded to include some of the best vineyards across the region.
Chosen as one of the 5 Best Wine Cellars of Rioja by Wine & Spirits magazine their Conde Valdemar range of wines includes the crisp, energetic Viura white and a selection of beautifully made Tempranillo from Crianza to Reserva and the top-of-the-range Gran Reserva,
a blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Maturana from the family vineyards in Rioja.
This is an ideal match for grilled fish, salads and vegetables, as well as pastas and shellfish. A good choice for smoked food and creams.
