Monte del Fr�, which means Hill of Monks is located in the heart of the Custoza area, on the east side of Lake Garda and only 15 Km away from the centre of Verona. The estate is owned and run by brothers Eligio and Claudio Bonomo with the next generation of the family, in the shape of Marcia, Silvia and Massimo, also playing an active part. This rose is made from a grape called Corvina, which also makes the Italian greats, Amarone and Valpolicella. Chiaretto is the name given to the rose version of a light red called Bardolino. This wine is pale, dry, and creamy, there are plenty of cherry fruit and raspberry on the palate. Although pale is colour the region this wine comes from gives it a decent backbone.12% 2022
