Tasting Notes and Description
Château Pesquié is a family estate located at the foot of the Ventoux Mountain, in the south of the Rhone Valley, gathering three generations of winemakers. At JN Wine we are proud to showcase these wonderful wines and hope to share the Pesquié passion for: unique terroir, hand harvesting, organic practises and biodynamic principles with old vines planted on unique soils.

This word - TERRASSES, comes from the Latin terras, meaning "lump of earth". The Ventoux region is characterised by alternating hills and valleys. To make the most of this exceptional terroir, vine growers and other farmers had to accomplish the colossal feat of building "terraces" into the steep hillsides. Still today, they are very typical of our landscapes and also called restanques or rébanqués in Provencal. The Chaudière Family chose this name in homage to the terraces their ancestors carved into carefully chosen sites and to the garden of Chateau Pesquie itself.

40 % Viognier - 20 % Roussanne - 20 % Clairette – 20% Grenache

Colour : Very limpid, pale lemon colour with silver reflections.

Nose : White flowers and citrus aromas with lime notes.

Mouth : Beautiful tension and freshness with citrus aromas (lemon and grapefruit), exotic fuits (lychees) and white stone fruits.

Food & Wine pairing: Ideal as an aperitif, Terrasses white will match very well with vegetables apetisers, grilled fishes, white meats and light cheeses.

"Bright in fruit yet accented by a kiss of fresh basil, this juicy blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Clairette hits the sweet spot. White-peach and grapefruit flavors are ripe but zesty, accented by hints of crushed stone and a lip-smacking salty finish. It's a fantastic value for an unoaked dry white with massive appeal.
Drink Now. Editors' Choice."
