Primitivo is a traditional Apulian vine variety that has been used since time immemorial to produce not only red wines, but also well-structured rosé wines. Cultivation on calcareous/clayey soils, a planting density of 3500 vines/hectare and low vineyard yields ensure high quality fruit from which a slightly aromatic wine is obtained, in which the spicy notes are enhanced by ageing in large barrels. With its good structure this wine is recommended as an accompaniment to meat and cheese and at the start of an important dinner.
An aromatic, well-structured red wine with fruity aromas of sour cherries, raspberries, and blackcurrants, followed by floral hints of violets.
