Cantina Tollo is one of Abruzzo’s most respected cooperatives, long recognised for championing the region’s native grapes and producing wines with a strong sense of place.
Their Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva 2020 is a perfect example of that philosophy — a wine that balances richness, structure and authenticity, and depth.

In the glass, the wine is deep ruby with garnet edges.
On the nose, it is expressive and inviting: black cherry, plum and blackberry, layered with sweet spice, cocoa, dried herbs and a touch of leather.
The palate is fuller-bodied, smooth and well-structured, with ripe dark fruit framed by fine, integrated tannins.
A savoury undertone — classic Montepulciano — adds complexity, leading to a long, warming, harmonious finish.
